The next marketplace will be called: “A Handmade Christmas” which will focus on Christian handmade goods to fit in with the theme.

The “A Handmade Christmas” Marketplace will run from November  6th – January 6th giving you 6 weeks of promotion. The cost is $50 to participate and the deadline to apply is October 30th.

This marketplace seeks give new Etsy crafters, as well as veteran crafters the venue to showcase their goods which give glory to God and promote the true meaning of the season: JESUS CHRIST our Savior.

The goal of this showcase is to bring back the simplicity of the season to show that handmade, gifts given from the heart can mean a lot more than any store bought item.

Let’s spread the gospel this season. Love God. Love others. Show them that you care with a handmade gift from the heart.

Just e-mail me if you are interested. Put “A Handmade Christmas Submission” in the subject line. **And please give me the URL link to the Etsy shop you wish to be considered.

There is only a limited amount of space available; so only the top applicants will be selected. The submissions must have a strong design aesthethic, impeccable, compelling photography that fits into the theme, and must be high-quality, Christian handmade wares. The fee for being a part of the Emporium will be $50.00.

The Emporium will have highest, top placement in the sidebar.

The Emporium will be marketed on: other blogs, Etsy, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, TwitterMoms, Ning networks, We Love Etsy, IndiePublic, with my Etsy Street Teams: CAST (Christian Artists), EcoEtsy, & EtsyAustin {just to name a few!}

I studied metalsmithing and fibers at the University of Oregon, graduating in 1999. That same year, I moved to Austin, Texas, where I have spent my spare time producing jewelry, bridal headpieces, lampshades, wall sconces, scarves, stained glass, and upholstered furniture. I recently left my full-time, non-artistic job to pursue jewelry and bridal accessories as a business.

The majority of my work is silver and gold-filled earrings accented with natural materials like coral, pearl, and shell. I also use colorful plastic-coated wire and various other interesting beads of glass or resin. I am constantly learning techniques and skills to expand my portfolio and keep myself from getting bored. My favorite work is custom, one-of-a-kind pieces made for a special purpose.
